Tennis Balls
Used for reducing muscle pain and tension

There are many ways to use them – here’s one:
Put two tennis balls in a sock, push them to the toe and tie a knot. Lie on your back, knees bent, and place them under the base of the skull … relax!

How it works:
Apply pressure to the tense muscle attachments. DON’T press down , allow the weight of your head to do the work. Breathe … relax …. wait at least 30 seconds and the muscle tension should dissipate.
Try slowly rolling head from side to side. At tender spots hold for 30 seconds… relax!
We have also found this to be very effective for both sciatica and relieving back tension in general. Place balls under glutes (butt) or the low back area and relax…holding for 30 seconds.
Sometimes the full body weight is too intense so stand & lean against a flat wall with the ball between you and the wall.
Ask us to give you a demo the next time you come in for a massage.
